Used on the most heat sensitive materials.
50A is the coolest cutting of the aluminum oxide
family and is designed for light infeeds. .001 and
less (stock removal). White in color.
White grit aluminum oxide grinding wheel typically used on tool & cutter grinders, Tool Post Grinders,surface grinders and cylindrical grinders Smaller wheels can also be used on bench & pedestal grinders. Primarily used to grind hardened steels and tool steels (Rockwell 'C' >45). Less friable than white, use where a slightly more aggressive wheel is needed. Suitable for wet or dry grinding but best results will be achieved with coolant. Vitrified bond. Medium hardness (H, I, J or K letter grade) is suitable for most applications.
CONDITIONS AND NOS: Sometimes NOS (NEW OLD STOCK) although they are new can have slight imperfections in them. This may because of the way they were made years ago or may have slight imperfections, bruises, scuffs or minor dings from being moved around the shelving over the years with other items bumping into them. We do our best to describe these imperfections (if any) in our listings when ever possible worth noting.
