Voorwood l-86, 38" transfer foil lam., 1992, 440V 3PH

Voorwood L86 - 38" Transfer Foil laminator
Good condition, cleaned, checked by our personnel.
The Voorwood L86 foil laminator was designed to apply a variety of transfer foil finishes to MDF and other substrates.
The substrate is transported through the laminator on a continuous flat belt. The flat belt is covered with a heat resistant, non-marking rubber compound. The substrate is guided to the laminating zone by adjustable side guides.
Maximum substrate width: 38 inches
Maximum substrate thickness: 2.5 inches
Minimum substrate thickness: 1/8 inch
The substrate cleaning station, located on the infeed end of the machine, has powered rotary brushes which remove debris from the surface of the substrate. A digital readout indicates thickness setting.
The unwind assembly, located on the infeed end of the machine, supports the roll of transfer foil. tapered unwind chucks on the liftout unwind shaft center the roll of foil. Web tension is controlled by the pneumatic brake on the unwind shaft.
Maximum foil supply roll width: 38 inches
Maximum supply roll diameter 13 inches
Core inside diameter:: 3 inches
The bowed spreader roller is used to prevent wrinkles in the transfer foil web at the laminating station.
The transfer foil is bonded to the substrate in the laminating station by two heated silicone rubber covered rollers. The silicone rubber rollers are heated by a tandem oven assembly. The oven is divided into individual zones that can be switched off when laminating less than full width substrates. The laminating station is easily adjusted for desired substrate thickness. A digital readout indicates thickness settings.
The rewind station removes the mylar carrier from the laminated substrate at the end of the transporter. The adjustable stripper roller assists in the clean removal of the carrier film from the substrate. The spent transfer foil on the rewind may be easily removed and discarded.
The control station is centrally located. Controls include: transporter feed on/off, transporter feed speed potentiometer, oven temperature switches and controllers, substrate precleaner start/stop and unwind web tension.
Electrical service required: 220-240 V, 3PH, 80A
