Beekeeping - 10 swarm lures bee supplies bee equipment

Get ready for spring. It will be here soon!
You get 10 lures at $2.00 each .$20.00 for 10!
Stock up now on what you will need this spring. Swarm season will be here before you know it. Now is the time to make those swarm traps. Store lures in the freezer until you need them.
Swarm lures include the chemical compounds found in Nasonov. Nasonov is the attractant pheromone bees use to orient themselves. Placed in swarm traps, it greatly increases your chance for success. We mix our own all natural formula.
Swarm lures are good for the entire year. Each tube contains 1.0 mL of attractant. (enough for making two swarm lures if you want too!). The liquid is placed in small plastic tubes. If you open the vial and close again half way upon placing them in your swarm trap, a small amount of pheromones are emitted throughout the summer. This means no more needing to reapply other forms of attractants throughout the year. (We also like to punch a couple small holes in the top with a pin or small nail, to release the pheromones.)
The vials have an attached cap that allows you to hang between two frames or by using a pin to attach to the side of swarm traps when using swarm traps with no frames.
Swarm traps can be made out of buckets, cardboard boxes or other adequate material. Catching swarms is an easy and exciting way to boost your hive numbers. (*But should not be used in place of good swarm prevention management.)
Please note .we encourage beekeepers to set out traps in known areas where apiaries are located. Even with the best swarm prevention, a few swarms do get away. Placing a few in isolated areas or where known feral tree colonies are located, is a good way to diversify your genetics. We DO NOT encourage ANY beekeeper to purposely track down and destroy natural habitat in collecting colonies. Taking a colony from a tree that is scheduled to be removed is one thing. Cutting down a bee tree to satisfy your quest for more bees, is something all beekeepers should guard against.
These are priced right! Half price of those fancy bee supply warehouses.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
