This was pulled from a lab environment... the case has scuffs and scratches and IT DOES POWER ON... the display reads "486 4.20" when first powered on... after that it says "486 CAL" ... then after that it reads "FAIL 402"... once it stops there by hitting the ENTER button it reads "Reference 0" the "Lamp On" indicator stays ON through the whole process.
According to page 116 of the manual this means there is a problem with the LAMP... I opened up the unit and found that it was missing the lamp assembly & the cover for the lamp housing... so the machine might still be functional with these parts installed... but we are not sure!
