What we have here is a NIB Cronatron browadview blue face plate welding helmet. It is # CW5440. This helmet will automatically darken as soon as you strike an arc. The advanced optical detection system monitors your welding process to ensure that your filter remains in the dark state in a wide range of arc welding application. This helmet is capable of working in virtually all arc-welding applications.This model a has a knob, located on the outside of the helmet, which can be rotated to decrease or increase the shade level 7-14. There is no need to remove the helmet . There is also a an on/off mode specifically designed to maintian the lgith state when grinding and set delay from dark to light. I have taken all info from the owners booklet included with the helmet. I don't have alot of knowledge of these type of things, but will try to answer and questions (if they are in the book).
