Higher quality longer lasting vibration resistant volt meter is used on these generators. You can adjust the voltage for use in different countries including the frequency from 60 Hz. to 50 Hz. The digital hour meter helps you keep track of when to change the oil or perform other maintenance.
There are three types of outlets so you have more options when connecting to things. RVs, Transfer Switches or home appliances for example. This is one of the only brands that has the extra L5-30 electrical outlet for full 30 amp at 120 volts where others limit you to 15 or 20 amps by not having this outlet. You also have the normal L14-30 and L5-20 120 volt outlet. You never know when you will need that extra plug.
The enclosure is built stronger then any other of its kind. It will also outlast any other. You can stand on it and it will not dent. There will be a time when you need to access the top of the engine. It may be to use the decompression lever, replace the fuel injector, bleed air out of the fuel lines or do a valve adjustment. All of these things require access to the top of the engine.

Generator Controller and Remote
The built-in remote control lets you wirelessly start the generator. When it is very cold it helps to turn the key and hold it in the "HEAT" position to turn on the glow plug. You can purchase a upgraded remote that has separate pre heating control on it so you don't have to use the key. No other company offers this. It is exclusive to Aurora Generators and can be installed at the time of purchase or at a later date. This remote is also easy to remove. You can easily upgrade, remove or replace since it is just one plug unlike others that are soldered in place. If you lose the remote we can even match up a new one.
No other company has a remote like this. Others use cheap electronics with no chips and 20 amp relays. We use a larger 30 amp crank relay and 3 chips. This design is able to monitor flywheel speed rather then alternator output for better control. The starter lasts longer and the whole thing just works better. Best of all its all easy to remove with just one plug.
Wheels are 7" in diameter and use ball bearings resulting in a larger ground clearance. Moving the generator is much easier. Those smaller wheels others use often get stuck on grass, small pebbles and uneven pavement.
Any wiring in contact with the engine, susceptible to heat or solvents such as fuel and oil spills have extra protection surrounding it. Braided fibreglass sleeves make it capable of withstanding temperatures up to 700 degrees and further help wiring insulation from becoming brittle or frail and breaking down. It is the same type of material used in the space industry. Compare to any other brand, only Aurora has this higher quality.
The biggest cause of alternator failure is the location of the regulator. This is important. These engines and alternators every company uses where never designed to be enclosed. It is hotter inside the alternator and it requires proper air flow. Still ALL other companies leave the regulator inside the alternator where it slowly melts and burns up.
Aurora Generators have it mounted outside as you can see in the photo below. To this day we have NEVER had one fail. It is the most common part to fail on all other generators.
These types of generators are often referred to as silent. That is because they are much quieter then their open frame versions or a gas equivalent. Aurora Generators are even quieter in competition for a few reasons. Aurora uses higher quality insulation, heavier enclosures and a better muffler system. Two mufflers and a combination flex pipe / catalytic converter is used here. The exhaust is clear and cool. Emissions are cleaner then from a gasoline generator and are safer for the environment. Stinky black smoke something you should only see on other generators. I've shown you in a video above what this looks like. How difficult is it for others to do the same? They don't because they run dirty.
Notice the exhaust compartment enclosure. It is heavily insulated with 4 different layers. First is a wire mesh, second is fibreglass, third is additional insulating material and the fourth is more fibreglass with a adhesive backing. It is fire proof, heat resistant, and noise cancelling.
