Here is a vintage Western Electric Capacitor Bank, there is a total of 48 caps. mounted onto a wooden base, they have been precisley mounted.
they are 80mfd @ 450 volts D.C. GA-52144 . On the underside of the cap bank, each cap has a resistor and there is also a small door knob capacitor
as shown in the pictures. This was part of a homebrew amplifier that was built years ago and the builder had it set up this way, this was actually a part
