We tested each of these and they all work great. Good printheads. Not new but nice, real nice. These are as returned at lease end, straight from corporate America.

Throughput - The Sato CL412e set new benchmarks in label throughput. A new generation RISC processor provides high performance in label production even when printing directly from standard Windows applications.
Memory - The Sato CL412e printers come with a full 18 MB of on-board memory STANDARD! Enough memory for storing multiple fonts, graphics, formats etc. without the need for optional 4 MB of Flash memory or an additional 16 MB of PCMCIA memory may be added.
Windows Compatible - Users still have the option of producing high-quality labels by using either SATO's native command language (JCL) or quality label design and production software such as SATO's Label Wizard. Now, the ability to easily and efficiently produce labels direct from Windows applications such as WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, etc. is also an option for the Sato CL412e.
Interface Connections - Choose from one of SATO's standard high-speed, bi-directional Plug-In Interface Modules: IEEE1284 Parallel, or High-Speed Serial (up to 57.6k bps). Also available for the Sato CL412e are optional Plug-In Interface Modules for Twinax/Coax and Ethernet (10/100BaseT) and RS422/485.

On the back, a serial and an ext plug. I understand this can take ethernet but it's not installed. An option.
