Above is from the manufacture's website describing this product. We have been selling DVDs for over 9 years in our store and have amassed a rather large amount of DVD Sell Through lock boxes which we are now putting up for sale as we no longer need them.
They are in excellent condition any that are broken have long gone to the garbage. We have many types that we use in the store and all are compatible with each other.
We use the Knogo security system in our store so all DVD lock cases have either a 3" or 5" Knogo security strip inside them, which you might be able to see in the images below. This model the AVM606BND which we refer to as the box set model has a built in RF sensor that is compatible with the Sensormatic security system. When we bought this model line they only had the RF radio coil available, so we had to add the Knogo security strip to them inside.
In the 9 years of DVD sell through we have had in our store, we have had absolutely no shop lifting of DVDs, and I mean zero loss. This product has paid for it self so many times in lost prevention for our business. The only way into these is either with the special S3 Key or a hammer, which makes a lot of noise.
They are made of polycarbonate, also known as Lexan the same material bullet proof glass is made of just not as thick.
