In the pictures attached, the close up of the black adjustment knob shows why the black adjustment knob doesn't work. The Ocular usually has a small nub that runs from the ocular up into the black adjustment knob. The picture shows that this piece is broken and missing. This is the same for both oculars. The picture of the front view shows both oculars adjusted to the outmost position, keep in mind that they move independent of each other. The front, rear, and side view pictures show the wear previously discussed.
