Tamper Evident Hologram Labels are excellent if your product can be out-dated or canceled after issue (such as ID cards). Without tamper-evident protection the label could be removed and applied intact to a counterfeit product. The holograms diffract light whereas print can only reflect it. As light refracts through the hologram with movement it goes through a rainbow of colors. This not only looks great but it is a security aspect as well. They cannot be replicated by color copiers. Tamper Evident (T.E.) labels describes products than in some way show 'evidence of tampering' if removal is attempted (as long as the original application was to a smooth, clean and dry surface). If the T.E. label is removed, the remaining portions that come off will be invalid and/or unusable.
All of our labels are true 2D/3D holograms created on pressure sensitive .002 (2-mil thickness) metalized silver or 60/40 semi clear polyester except the HRI is clear. Most of our competitors use very thin 1-mil polyester.
