We supply the gear blank, and you saw, turn, bore, and finish machine as required.
Price covers one inch of material length. To get a longer blank, order more inches.
Material is 1144 stress-proof steel.
Choose from gears shown on the chart (see image), or ask us about other possibilities in this diameter range.
Maximum length in one piece is 12 inches.
If you know the gear data, please specify:
Diametral Pitch or Metric Module from the chart (see picture)
Pressure Angle from the chart (Ask about 30 deg. spline availability)
Number of teeth from the chart
Any special requirements such as custom backlash or OD, etc.
For replacement gears, when gear data is unknown
You can still place an order by providing a few measurements with a caliper. Simply supply the outside diameter of the gear, the number of teeth, and two or more span measurements. Also provide the whole depth f the tooth, and the diameter across the tooth roots. The span measurement is the dimension over two or more teeth, where the caliper touches one flank of both teeth. For example, you might supply a span over 3 teeth, and a span over 4 teeth. From this information, we can reverse calculate the DP/Module, Pressure Angle, and other gear data.
