Ransco Industries 7000 Series Mechanically Refrigerated Temperature Cycling Chamber.
This Temperature Cycling Test Unit is designed to allow test specimen to be automatically subjected to temperature extremes without the burden of manual transfer.
The system is of the two zone, two or three chamber design, and features an automatic cycling system utilizing a vertical elevator to transport the test specimen.
The temperature test zones and the interior elevator are located on the left-hand side of the chamber.
The temperature zones are arranged with a hot zone on top, a cold zone in the middle and, in double capacity models, an additional hot zone on the bottom.
The temperature zones are designed for maximum heat transfer and part recovery rates, critical for greatest possible throughput and proper test performance. Horizontal, high velocity airflow is used to eliminate areas of poor heat transfer.
Access to the test zones is provided by front, full opening doors with heavy duty, non-sag hinges, chrome plated latches, and double silicone rubber seals. Loading the test specimen is normally accomplished through the hot zone.
An instrument panel is located on the front right side of the chamber. All instruments, switches and controls are mounted in a standard 19-inch rack panel. An electrical sub-panel is located directly below the instrument panel.
An equipment compartment is located behind the electrical compartments. Access to this area is by means of a hinged service door on the right hand side of the chamber and removable panels in the rear.
The unit is self-contained, requiring only the specified utilities for operation, and is designed for continuous, trouble free operation when operated in a manner consistent with the procedures outlined in the manual.
