Offered here are some suberb quality mil spec genuine H.H. Smith #177 combination small
test prods and pin plugs. Labeled MX-1907/U. These have a heavily "silver-like" plated
.080 or 5/64 inch standard phone tip plug body with a retaining notch and medium point.
Black plastic body measures 1/4 inch in diameter by 1 inch long.
These are extermely hard to find and normally are outrageously expensive. They offer
very easy, reusable, and solderless assembly.
There are three components to each assembly: The plug itself; a plated washer, and the
body. Here is how we think these are intended to be used: An insulated wire is slipped
through the plastic body and something like 3/8 of an inch is stripped. The bare portion is
then formed into 3/4 of a right angle loop. The plated washer is then slipped over the
threaded end of the plug. The plug is then self-tapping threaded into the plastic body.
Optionally some hot glue, epoxy, or silicon rubber can be added to the rear of the
