The 788 is loaded with standard features: a large 320 x 240 resolution, backlit, blue LCD display; full QWERTY alphanumeric keyboard; 14 programmable soft keys; two bi-directional RS-232 ports (one may be configured for RS-485); a PC-101 keyboard input connector; and one scale input card.
