This is a new, old stock Best Lock Company cabinet lock, Best Catalog No. 5L7RL3-606 (satin brass) finish. This lock is being sold without a core.
The spring latch allows the cabinet to be locked without a key. However, a key is required to unlock it and the key may be withdrawn only in the locked position.
The deadbolt has a 9/32 inch throw. Included is the installation template and all hardware needed for installation.
If purchased new today without a core, it would cost in excess of $30.
Because of the age of these locks, they may have minor age-related tarnishing on the lock case. However, the lock cylinder (core housing) has a clear lacquer finish that has prevented tarnishing.
