The W60 laser spot welder is used for precision welding such as attaching miniature accessories for precision medical devices & tools, dental & orthodontic applications, electronics, attaching integrated circuit board leads, fine detail work such as attaching watch hairsprings and for fine gold/silver/platinum jewelry repair, finishing, setting and processing. In general, this system can repair breaks, fuse pieces together, fill air bubbles and mend cracks. The thermally affected area is small and the welding spot size can be adjusted as needed. The laser spot welder is suitable for gold, silver, platinum, stainless steel, aluminum, and metal alloys. The solder joint is smooth and tiny, no need for after process cleaning. The auto-shutter Leica microscope will allow precise positioning of the laser beam for welding to prevent damage of precious inlaid stones.
