Vintage decter male mannequin "american male"
This is a great male mannequin manufactured by Decter Mannikin Company of Los Angeles. This collection which is named "American Male" was first introduced in 1984 and the model that this mannequin is sculpted from is named Brittain - the name is stamped on the side of his head. I'm not sure of the exact manufacturing age of this particular mannequin but my guess is it was probably produced in the late 1980's.
Decter males were some of the best and most realistic mannequins available at the time and the body sculpting was amazing. I included some close up photos of the muscle tone sculpted in the torso and back which is a very current look since body conscious clothing is very much in fashion now. The mannequin is in great condition with no cracks, breaks or major scuffs on the skin surface.
