Made in 80'S, Chinese Military Radio transmitter-receiver type 81
This is a nominal backpack radio transmitter receiver. Both transmitter and receiver cover the frequency range of 1.5 MHz to 12 MHz in three bands. The transmitter is configured for A1 (about 15 Watts output), A2 and A3 (about 8 watts output) modes. The built in antenna tuner circuit allows use of a short center loaded whip, 50 Ohm load, single ended or balanced antennas. A panel meter can be set to read battery voltage or antenna current. The set operates off 24 to 26 Volts from batteries or an external power supply, External power can be applied directly to the main case with the battery box detached. The receiver is a single conversion design (465 KC IF) with two ceramic filters, for AM and CW in the IF, plus RC active audio filtering. There is a 500 KC crystal calibrator built in. Both transmitter and receiver are transistorized. No ICs are used.
