The Nippy 3+ is a pressure controlled positive pressure ventilator employing state of the art electronics, to give consistent and accurate support for patients requiring ventilation. The large colour LCD screen gives unrivalled clarity when setting up or reading stored data. Intuitive software allows for easy setting up, with on-screen help available for each function. The flexibility of its 4 modes of ventilation and fully featured alarm package allow the clinician to select the appropriate treatment for a wide variety of patients, with only one machine.
Settings and airway measurements are displayed on-screen with more advanced features accessed via an easy to follow menu. Compliance data may be viewed onscreen. Full event log may be downloaded to a PC. The Nippy 3+ is equipped with a universal mains power inlet, a dc power inlet and an internal battery. Weighing only 4.5kg, world-wide travel has never been easier.
The Nippy 3+ is intended for use by patients who require respiratory support via nasal, full face mask or tracheotomy or ET tube
* CPAP - Continuous Positive Airway Pressure.
* Pressure Support - The ventilator augments the patient s spontaneous breathing. Adjustable back-up rate takes over in the absence of inspiratory trigger.
* Pressure Control - A timed inspiration is cycled by the patients inspiratory effort. Adjustable back-up rate takes over in the absence of inspiratory trigger.
* IPPV - A timed inspiration is cycled by the patient s inspiratory effort. Patient exhales to atmosphere via an exhale valve fitted in the breathing circuit.
* Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
