Biodiesel processor, 45G batch size, full draining tanks
THIS IS A SPECIAL OFFER FOR AN UPGRADED UNIT WITH 85 GALLON MAIN REACTOR TANK.
After not being able to find a reasonably priced, suitable processor, for our co-op, I designed this model with all the features I wanted and needed to make 45 gallons at a time in under two hours of operator time, with a minimum of exposure to the chemicals and WVO. Since I spent the time and energy designing it I thought I would make another one to sell and raise some funds for the co-op. Since that time, I have sold many of these and refined the design with each new generation. Not all of the fancy do-dads that I have engineered are in the photos as I would not want the other processor builders to rip off my ideas, but when you get your processor, I think you will be pleasantly surprised and I think you will like the system and features it has and I think that it is the best system, especially for the price, that is out there. I used to be a brewer and I have used some of the things I learned in the beer industry in this system. Please call me with any questions or how I can help you make good biofuel and I will be happy to answer them. If you would like to see the system in operation please let me know, or as listed below I would be happy to deliver this system to you, help you with startup and charge only a small fee for my time and travel to get you up and running if you are worried about not having the knowledge or expertise to get this underway by yourself. Our co-op has other members in it who may be able to spend some time with you as well and help you with other things such as WVO collection, conversions in your car, community outreach and ways to make your biofuel production and use more rewarding.
Here are some of the features of the processor:
1 inch fittings, valves and piping, which allows for maximum pump velocities, most other units out there have 3/4" which is cheaper to make, but slower/less effective mixing and under utilizes the pump which has a one inch inlet and outlet
Skid/Pallet mounted, plastic pallet for ease of cleaning, strength, longevity, and durability
WVO preheater tank with heating element(this complete tank is included, you do not need to make one yourself like other models out there) for faster reaction time-Complete reaction in two hours-Heater element can be fitted with a timer so that you can leave the tank to heat and have it ready when you are
10 Micron Fuel Filter this will allow you to pump directly to your vehicle-after settling time of course
60 gallon reactor tank so that you can yield 45 gallons-this is scalable, so if you would like a larger yield, I can increase this tank size fairly easily, such as for a 60-65 gallon yield with a 85 gallon mixing tank, that would be $150 additional
Mister in the reactor tank so that you can wash your fuel if you want
I can add fitting and extra inlets on the cyclindroconical tanks so that you can add gauges, fittings, extra hoses or other customized options
Cyclindroconical tanks with 100% full drain fittings, so that you can drain glycerin and biodiesel with a minimum of waste, this also minimizes cleanup time, less methanol vapors between batches, and is way safer and better, you do not see this on most other processors, why, I have no idea, maybe they have never made fuel in their systems
Flexible hoses with a working temperature of 180 degrees as opposed to the hoses most other models are using that our are not rated to high temperatures and kink, bend, and really do not work that well(word to the wise-if you see braided tubing on the competitors models, I am not trying to be an ass here, but seriously those hoses kink, slow mixing, and frankly are dangerous, please ask them to use a better quality hose, I have personally seen other designs stop mixing as the braided tubing kinks at 120 degrees)
NEW DESIGN FEATURES AS OF 3/3/10.
Thermostatically controlled, UL listed heating element in the preheater barrel. Very nice to have this
In line temperature gauge on the mixing line
Fuel rated ball valves, instead of water rated ball valves with all of the competitors out there
One point of irritation that I do not want to bring up about my competitors but must is this. They claim "turnkey", but they do not offer a preheater barrel and ask that you build one yourself. I include this item and still my price is better than other designs out there. I would not use a heating element in the cone tanks, but you can if you like. I have experimented with an element in the tank and tried to melt a tank but was unable to get it to melt based on where I put the element, but I have seen these tanks melted if used with an element in there sidewalls. That being said, I still would never use a heating element in the tank.
10 Micron Fuel Filter with low cost($6.00) easily replaceable and sourceable filter elements
Preheater tank can be used as a post wash heatable tank to evaporate the last of the methanol and water that remain after washing-though this is somewhat time consuming-10 minutes, to use because it is necessary to clean out the preheat tank. I recommend a second tank configured identically to the preheat tank that is used for washing. I recommend this if you will be washing or making a bunch of fuel, which I would say is over 50 gallons per week. This additional option will add $125 but allow you to do alot faster turn around time on your batches and more capacity if you are making over 50 gallons a week. I do not have this option as a built in feature as I am trying to keep the cost down for those folks that do not make a large volume of fuel or do not desire to wash. If you want to make your own drying setup I can help you with the design of that for no charge if you want to save yourself some money
Start up and set up support available. We will travel to your location to show you how to operate this system if you would like. You will only pay travel expenses for this service and a reasonable rate for our time. Basically this is one of the cheapest tutorials you can have on biodiesel production. If you are within 500 miles from Spokane we can probably deliver for you and combine startup and delivery charges for you.
*******WE NOW CAN OFFER ON SITE SUPPORT IN THE FOLLOWING STATES. WA,ID,MT,WI,MN,IOWA,IL,IN AND THE ATLANTA,GA AREAS*****************
*****Also, if you have me deliver this in the Upper Midwest area, I can also bring you methanol in 55 gallon drums at $3.05 per gallon. I can also supply you with KOH flakes(the preferred catalyst) at $100 per 50 gallon pail.*******************
Also, I have been getting alot of requests to compare and contrast my design versus the others out there. I do not like to make diminishing remarks in general so if you would like to know why I make a better processor, beyond what I have outlined above feel free to ask via email.
Western US $150 plus or minus $50, not to exceed 220
Middle of US 200 plus or minus 50 not to exceed 300
East 250 plus or minus 50 not to exceed 375(rural Florida is at the high end, western VA, or OH or something would be around $255)
I can make some modifications for you to the existing setup if you so desire, let me know if you want or need other features, or if you want to save some money I could maybe do some other things to lower cost to you which I will be happy to do for you
Pickup is welcome, demos are welcome too
Anyhow. More insights to follow as usual. Stay tuned.
