This item is a Tektronix 7S11 Sampling Unit Plug in for the 7000 series mainframes. The 7S11 is a single-channel sampling unit with a frequency range of 350 MHz to 14 GHz depending on what Sampling Head is installed. Single channel 2 mV to 200 mV per division with one 7T11A sampling timebase module or two 7S11's can be use with one 7T11A for dual channel sampling. A 10 ns delay range is available for comparing two signals in a dual channel combination. DC offset is from +1 to -1 VDC. Vertical signal out is 200 mV per displayed division within +-3%. The bandwidth and input impedance are determined by the S-Series sampling head chosen to use in your system.
The S-5 Sampling Head is a low-noise, 1 ns risetime sampling unit with a 1 Mohm, 15 pF input impedance. When used with the included passive probe, the input impedance increases to 10 Mohm, 10 pF while maintaining the 1 ns risetime at the probe tip. A switch on the S5 selects either ac or dc coupling of the input. Internal Trigger Pickoff Bandwidth: Dc to 350MHz.
