Drying Ovens with Natural Convection, ED Series, BINDER is a reliable and dependable addition to the Binder Constant Temperature Equipment family of products. Combining top-notch and uncompromising quality with an affordable price, the Drying Ovens with Natural Convection, ED Series, BINDER 9010-0192 / 47751-140 can fulfill your laboratory needs while still offering a great value for the money.
Natural convection ovens are ideal for sterilization, drying, and thermal storage tasks that do not require high drying rates or special time parameters. Natural convection is achieved by the controlled extraction of drying moisture via a 50mm (2") diameter exhaust duct with an adjustable ventilation slide. The integral electronic timer can be set for up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, or for continuous operation. These microprocessor, PID controlled ovens feature an LED display for time and temperature, degree-accurate temperature adjustment, digital timer, and one ramp function. Rapid heat-up time secures fast and precise controlling, while the short recovery time after door opening decreases temperature fluctuation. These ovens feature unique APT.Line* preheating chamber technology. APT.Line technology is engineered to ensure that all temperature-related tasks such as heating, drying, and sterilizing are conducted exactly the same each time, reliably, and quickly. The inner chamber is made of Type 304 stainless steel and has rounded edges and internally welded seams for easy cleaning. The interior is completely tempered, which prevents condensation and ensures that moisture deposits will not impair drying results. A preheating chamber allows all connecting tubes to the inner chamber to be subjected to the heating process, reducing the risk of condensation in the inner chamber. High-quality insulation reduces heat dissipation, which contributes to an active reduction in ambient temperature and helps avoid the need for additional air conditioning in the lab. The low external housing temperature of 50 C maximum (even at working temperatures of 300 C) means that burns are avoided. The integral thermostat is rated Class 2, according to DIN 12880, Part 1. The 115 and 208V models are UL listed. The 230V models are CE marked.
