1. This is not a normal printed vinyl , it is much better looking and more realistic than any on the market.it is a pvc vinyl not polyester . the process used to manufacture involves deeply embossing the pattern deep inside the vinyl to creade a truer carbon effect weave pattern with a stunning high gloss finish . the vinyl has a high aluminium content like a foil
2. this vinyl is a rigid vinyl and will not conform to complex curves , which means that they cannot be used for a full body wrap .they can be used on flat surfaces and slight curves of a vehicle .for applications to slight contours get out your heat gun . the vinyl is not a flexible vinyl like cast vinyl so you need to heat up the vinyl to its melting point and thermoform the film to the shape of your substrate
3. TIP. using heat to make a film conform to a substrate is a 2 part process . first you use heat to stretch or conform the material to the shape of the surface . second when completing the application . heat again to bond the adhesive
4. the adhesive is pressure sensitve and more forgiving on large applications so applying bubble and crease free is a lot easier when applying dry than with normal vinyls.
5. it cannot be applied wet due to the metal content
6. dark colours in the sun attract a great amount of heat and we reccommend sealing any finished edges with clear lacquer or a sealitpen
7. this vinyl is very easy to cut with craft knife or scissors and is very easy to use
8. large jobs like bonnets and roofs are very skilled jobs , do not try to attempt it on your own or you will just waste lots of expensive material
9. as stated before NOT FOR WRAPPING . dont even think about doing round objects like wing mirrors etc it will not do complex curves . A COMPLEX CURVE IS SOMETHING THAT CURVES SHARPLY FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND TOP TO BOTTOM ..... ever tried wrapping a football in a flat sheet of paper ??? it does not work . most car roofs and bonnets are gentle curves and can be done by a patient skilfull fitter team
10. ALL SURFACES MUST BE NON POROUS AND TOTALLY CLEAN FROM WAXES POLISHES AND GREASE
