Thermo Savant offers several different two-stage, oil-sealed, rotary vane vacuum pumps specifically designed for standard freeze drying applications. Each pump comes complete with a GBORK (Gas Ballast Oil Return Kit) and and Oil Mist Filter (EMF-10). The GBORK allows the user to apply full gas ballast to keep the oil clean without losing oil. The EMF10 filter the exhaust to keep environmental air clean. For applications involving aggressive solvents that might damage ordinary pumps, we recommend the LyoPump VLP195FD which also includes an active oil filtration system (VPOF110) that dramatically extends the life of the pump.
High Vacuum pumps deliver critical performance for all vacuum requirements. A three position gas ballast control optimizes pump performance to suit all applications. The large, sideview sight glass allows for convenient checking of proper oil levels at a glance. The VLP series of pumps is designed to work with all Thermo SpeedVac concentrating and freeze drying systems for maximum solute recovery.
