Lexel 95-2 Argon Ion Laser Head
For sale- a Lexel 95-2 Argon Ion Laser Head. I do not have the matching power supply, sorry. I have a manual for it that includes a variety of paperwork associated with the laser. It looks like it was originally purchased with the 503 Temperature Controlled Etalon installed, as well as the 502 Multiline Mirror Holder. I cannot say whether those items are still installed. Original delivery was in 1982. Looks like they were having problems with it in 1998 and got estimates from Evergreen Laser and Excitek for refurbishing it. I don t see any paperwork to suggest the winner, but it has a big Evergreen Laser decal on top, plus a small Evergreen QC sticker dated 2001 on one end. So if I had to take a wild guess
I sold a Lexel 95-4 not too long ago, and I have gone back and compared the pictures. The 95-4 did not have the Etalon Temperature Regulator board installed that this one does; other than that they look pretty much the same. The hour meter appears to read 1900 hours (I couldn t get a picture to reflect that, and I have to say I hate those little things, they are almost impossible to read). I would assume that if Evergreen rebuilt it they probably put a new hour meter on it then. Without the power supply (and the cooling water and the purge gases and some small degree of experience) I cannot test the laser, and it is sold without warranty. UPDATE: I have acquired a matching Lexel 95 Power Supply to go with the laser, which explains why the price has gone up if you have been watching it. Now I am offering a complete system, still untested, but at least you don't have to go shopping elsewhere for the PS now. If you want to see pictures send me an email, but it looks like any other Lexel 95 PS I have come across. Plus it has a manual with it!
