For HPLC. These columns are packed with PartiSphere spherical 5 m media which feature a narrow particle size distribution and reproducibility. Typical efficiencies are above 75,000 plates per meter. Dual porosity frit distributes sample evenly across the column cross-section. WVS (Whatman Void Sealing) columns have hand-tightened end fittings, and the integral void sealing system mechanism prolongs column life. PartiSphere spherical media are available in eight 5 m phases.
C8 is recommended for ion pair chromatography. This is an end-capped monomeric phase with a 6% carbon load. Provides high efficiency and rapid mass transfer while maintaining excellent peak shape and stability over a range of aqueous mobile phase compositions.
C18 is designed for selectivity of pharmaceuticals, natural products, food, biologicals, and environmental pollutants. This is a polymeric phase with a 10% carbon load. End-capped for deactivation of silanols to minimize need for ion suppression or pairing agents.
