Wacker 1550 plate tamper / compactor / roller honda
This is a 2001 model, but it has very low hours. I bought it used, in like new condition, for $1000+ and this plate tamper NEVER failed to start and work great for me. The freakin original belt is still on it! There's a new air filter on it and I changed the oil prior to use last week. It's ready to use. Turn the fuel on, choke it and pull once..... Bam! It will start like this even after sitting for months. There's NO fuel or oil leaks and I just powerwashed, wiped-down with a degreasers, sanded with 320 grit and spray-painted with both yellow and black paint. The muffler has on it, 1300 degrees ceramic header paint.
Contractors: this looks VERY presentable for your job site.
As stated before, since building my house, I used this for about 4-6 hours per year for the last 5-6 years to firm-up my driveway after renting a skid steer in the fall and it's time for it to go.
If you're not aware, this brand is the Cadillac of the plate tampers. The steel guard and the handles are the heaviest gage metal used on plate tampers and the entire base (all painted yellow) is made of one solid piece of aluminum.
