This is a high-end Polytec Laser Doppler Vibrometer Interferometer System made in Germany and includes the following:
OFV-3001 Controller with OVD-01/02 Velocity and OVD-20 Displacement decoders, GPIB and remote focus installed.
OFV-502 Fiber Interferometer with two OFV-Z-L10 lenses for differential setup and one OFV-150 retro-reflective head for single point measurements.
This system was manufactured 1995 and its new cost was about $75,000. It is refurbished and in great working condition - see above video and the pictures below. This system is used for vibration analysis of objects requiring non-contact measurements. It's current pictured configuration is for single point measurements using one OFV-Z-L10 lens and OFV-150 retro-reflective head on the reference beam. For dual or differential setup the OFV-150 head is replaced with the included second OFV-Z-L10 lens.
The OFV-3001 controller outputs both wide bandwidth and high resolution velocity and displacement signals simultaneously with 6 velocity and 8 displacement decoder ranges as follows:
* Velocity LF (<10kHz) Ranges: 1 and 5 mm/s/V, (+/- 10 m/s full scale).
* Velocity HF Ranges: 5 (<250kHz), 25, 125 and 1000 mm/s/V, (+/- 10 m/s full scale).
* Velocity Resolution: 0.3 um/s (LF), 0.5 um/s (HF)
* Displacement Ranges: 1, 2, 8, 20, 80, 320, 1280 and 5120 m/V, (+/- 51.2 mm full scale).
* Displacement Resolution: 0.002 um
* Bandwidth: DC to 1.5 MHz (-1 dB)
* Velocity Filter Steps: 5k, 20k, 100k, Off (1.5M) Hz (-3dB).
