Metal shaper tool holder parts armstrong ace 2060
Here is a set of replacement parts for a shaper tool holder. These parts were patterned off of the Armstrong ACE 2060 but may fit other tool holders as well. They are identical to the originals except for two modifications:
1. The original thread size was 7/16-16, this being an extremely unusual size, I changed the thread size to 7/16-20. (However, I did eventually find a 7/16-16 tap so I will soon be offering replacement Flange Nuts for the originals. If you are interested in these please contact me, if I get enough interest I will hurry these along.)
2. The Flange Nut on the originals was some odd size and I could never find a wrench, U.S. or metric, that fit quite right. These Flange Nuts are made to use a 9/16 inch wrench.
3. The Flange Nut is also thicker than the originals. The originals had aprox. 3/8 inch of threads, these have aprox. 1/2 inch of threads.
If you would like to determine if these would fit your tool holder, the dimensions are as follows:
Head: 1 inch diameter, 3/8 inch long.
Body: 5/8 inch diameter, 3/4 inch long.
Threads: 7/16 inch diameter, 3/4 inch long. Again, 7/16-20 threads.
Hole: .265 inch square (same as originals) to accept 1/4" tool bit.
Nut: Flange .810 diameter 3/16 thick, 9/16 inch hex, total thickness 1/2 inch.
These are made out of 1018 steel and have been heat treated (case hardened). You can also choose between two finishes, either no finish applied or black oxide. The two finishes are shown in the second photo.
Made in U.S.A. Feel free to ask any questions.
