Gilford 2451-A Automatic Cuvette Positioner General Description:
Gilford Model 2451-A provides completely automatic cuvette cycling or pushbutton selection of individual cuvettes. Automatic operation permits any combination of one to four cuvettes to be positioned in the measuring beam in sequence in a preselected timing cycle.
Since recording the output is desirable in most applications using an automatic cuvette programmer, a special circuit is provided to deactivate the recorder except when cuvettes are stationary in the measuring beam. This prevents erratic recorder traces when the positioner is cycling.
To increase the recording flexibility of your spectrophotometer, Model 2451-A also includes circuitry to offset recorder baselines for individual cuvettes. By this means, closely grouped records may be separated for ease of identification, or the space between widely separated records may be closed for easy comparison.
Gilford 2451-A Automatic Cuvette Positioner Specifications:
* Sample Positions: 4, automatic, programmed sample changing and recycling, and push button manual selection, accommodates standard cuvette holders, or flow through cuvettes up to 10mm in path length
* Positioning Precision: +/-0.025mm
* Modes of Operation Automatic cycling or manual push button selection
* Dwell Time Range: Thumbwheel selection of 0 through 99 seconds per cuvette position
* Dwell Time Accuracy: Within 0.15% of setting (line synchronized clock).
* Cycling Time: 1.5 seconds between positions
* Recording Offset: Switch selected, for cuvette positions 2, 3, and 4, permits adjustment of individual cuvette baselines on recorder
* Recording Offset Range: Approximately +0.4 A to -2.6 A
* Ambient Temperature Range: 32 degrees F to 100 degrees F
* Power Requirements: 105-125 Volts AC, 60 Hz, 0.5 Amps
