EDC Krohn-Hite 520 DC Calibrator
For sale- an EDC Electronic Development Corporation Model 520 Programmable IEEE 488 DC Calibrator. It would appear that EDC was acquired by Krohn-Hite somewhere along the way, and their website says the replacement model for the 520 is the 522. I don t know what the difference is but they look very similar.
You can find particulars about the 522 here on the Krohn-Hite website, and you can probably find a manual there too. And Krohn-Hite offers repair and calibration service for the 520, so there is factory support available. I found a used/refurbished 522 online for $5K+, and Krohn-Hite will repair and calibrate the 520 for $825, so even if the one I am offering here needs both you still come out way ahead.
As you can see this one powers up just fine. Set on 10.0000VDC as pictured, my cheap Sears VOM reads it at 10.03. I am guessing it is my meter that is slightly off. That is the extent of the testing and NO warranty is offered. It looks like this piece is available with a 1000VDC option, but this one is NOT so equipped. UPDATE: I have now acquired a second one of these, but it is a 520A instead of just a 520. If you would prefer the 520A and it is still available I will be happy to accomodate you.
