This CCD cooled microscope digital camera system can provide high-quality scientific grade digital images by using premium quality CCD chip and peltier cooling device. It is ideal for any imaging applications that require high resolution, speed and sensitivity. With low noise electronics and a high quantum efficiency, this camera can capture a wide range of dynamics intensities, while maintaining quantitative linearity. The added outstanding features such as a fast analog to digtal converter (ACD), very low read noise and programmable gain control make the camera an ideal detector for fluorescent imaging applications!
A Peltier cooling mechanism was used to cool down the imaging area to 30 C below room temperature (compared to its un-cooled state). This cooling device enables the camera to supress the thermal background noise and obtain high-contrast images, especially when capturing fluorescence images that requires long exposure times.
