3M dynapro et 355 touch screen industrial lcd monitor
This is a 3M DynaPro industrial computer monitor with a 15" LCD display and touchscreen interface. This unit would be in Very Good cosmetic condition, but there are several minor blemishes in the paint around the front panel (see photos). We also noted a few small scratches/scuffs on the display area. NO manuals or additional accessories are included if not shown. Photos show the actual item you will receive.
When we applied power, the monitor said it didn't have any input signal (it didn't), then it said it was going to sleep (which it then did). We are not sure what sort of video signal it is supposed to get over the CAT5 jack on the rear panel, but the Samsung display module inside accepts a plain analog RGB signal. We applied the video signal from one of our computers (not included) to the VGA connector and it gave a crisp, clear display. The On Screen Display came up when we pushed the Menu button. We are not sure how to connect the touch screen interface to our computer, so it was not tested. Please NOTE: the side panel that covers the connectors is missing. Note also, this unit has apparently been converted from AC to DC power input, and the explosion-proof ratings may no longer apply. The description below is from a 3M product announcement online.
"To extend the monitors' utility in the industrial workplace, a 1,000-foot cable and keyboard/video/mouse (KVM) extender kit enables the monitors to be placed up to 1,000 feet from the user's computer. This allows operators in the field to utilize the application while the high-performance PC is running 1,000 feet away in a cool, controlled environment.
