We built these with poultry in mind, however, they are very versatile and can be used for several different types of animals and livestock.
This is a "gravity-type" feeder. You fill from the top and the food is available in the pan at the bottom. The extra tall sides on the pan prevent feed from being scratched out onto the ground and wasted. You can fill with 20-30 lbs of feed, depending on what you are feeding. I use these for Egg Pellets, Chick Grower, Game Bird Feed, etc. Pellets or Crumbles both work fine. My goat even likes to eat her sweet feed from these! The lid protects feed from droppings etc. Just remove it to fill.
These feeders work much better for us than anything we have ever bought at a Farm or Feed Store and are MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE! Anyone who has animals knows that you save when you can and prevent waste whenever possible, right?
