When tested, it powered up, power light illuminated, interior lights could be seen. The 'Zero Adjust' knob turned easily, and the needle could consistently be Zeroed out, even when the Nanometer Dial was turned to various settings. When the Nanometer Dial was turned, the instrument was sensitve to the different ranges; this dial turns freely. The opening in the right front of the unit has a small covering that appears to go down and over to the side when something is inserted into the opening. We have 2 of these with the same opening, so we assume it is the design and not something missing. This was all the testing that was done.
The body of this unit is in good condition and the feet are intact. The power cord is included. Photos are representative of the items & may not be actual.
