Fellowes jupiter 125 laminating machine laminator

We tested this item, and did run into a couple issues. First, we powered the unit on, and set it for 4mil heat-laminating, and let it sit. According to the directions, after selecting the type of lamination you're going to be doing, the "wait" light will blink for a few minutes while the device heats up, but then it is supposed to go off to signal that the unit is at temperature. After half an hour of being on though, we figured the light wasn't going to stop blinking. At this point, we decided to open the lid of the unit, to see if the elements were actually getting hot or not. This unit has a safety feature that will not allow the top to be opened when hot, so when we found that we could not get the top open, we knew it must mean that the insides are in fact hot. After leaving the laminator to sit for about an hour, we tried the top again. This time, the left button pressed in easily, however the right one (the one missing the plastic button itself) stayed closed. After pressing and fiddling for a few minutes, the top opened, though the button is still stuck. We checked the heating elements, which still felt warm, so since it's sat for so long, it must have been pretty hot when on. This leads us to believe that there is some sort of problem with a heat sensor somewhere, because the unit IS getting hot, it's just not letting itself know that it's hot. Unfortunately we don't have any laminating sheets, so we can't actually test if it will seal them properly.
