When I started using this stuffer, I noticed that this design would leave a couple pounds of meat in the bottom of the cylinder due to the flat piston and a concave cylinder. So with some help, I made a mold of the cylinder and machined a piston out of (FDA approved) Polyethylene as with a stainless steel release valve. This design mirrors the bottom of the cylinder to vacate all of the meat from the cylinder during the stuffing process. This was about $100 investment as well as a lot of time involved. Weston now sells this type of a design with their stuffers, obviously due to the same reason. I've googled these stuffers and they go for as much as $579 brand new.
Here's your chance to get this lightly used commercial style stuffer for your home. I've also included a brand new $30 Piston seal/gasket.
You may use this stuffer at the original state that I purchased it, using the flat piston, or use my modified machined piston that vacates all the meat from the stuffer.
