Sized for the GMP-4008 Reddy Apple Cooker. For a GMP-4016 Double Batch, use two pouches. Add 6 to 8 oz. of water to a pouch of mix in the GMP-4008. For the double batch, add as little additional water as you need to completely dissolve the powder. After all, you need to boil off the water before the mixture starts turning into a red candy.
Always use a thermometer (GMP-4300) in the Reddy Apple Cooker and be sure to stir the hottest solution off the bottom of the cooking kettle. It takes about 20 to 22 minutes to get the temperature up to 280 to 290 an ideal candy crack. Parve - Kasruth Certificate available upon request. Will coat approx. 360 small apples per case (depending on apple size and amount applied to apple).
