Sandvik Coromant Turning tool. PAPR -16-3 hr 171.5-2525m-16, this is the number shown on this tool holder. I am pretty sure this was an older number and they changed it to, CKJNR 16 3C. I had 2 other holders that were exactually the same , with the new number. This is a positive raked insert that the holder uses. This is an excellent tool for a toolmaker, machine repair man, that makes his own parts or even a home shop enthusiast. It is capable of turning up to a shoulder without having to turn out that big radius. I have a few inserts with it,but you will be able to get them from SANDVIK, with a couple different tool tip radius's. I used these turning tools extensively as a toolmaker, machine repairman,and machine builder for 45 years. I am know retired selling off my tools. THANKS!!!!!!!!
