These images show the inside of the chamber. The electrode plates are above and below the pair of rollers. There is a light bulb tube in the background that lights up when rf is present. There is a nonmetallic finger attached to a motor sticking through the back wall of the chamber. It meshes with an opposing finger on the back end of the lead screw when the lid is down, to power the back or right roller (depending on which image you are looking at). Note the copper flex seals around the edges of the lid. It is a bit hard to measure but the chamber lid seems to be at least 12" square, maybe a bit bigger.
The thermal scope is a non-contact temperature measurement device that looks through the wall of the chamber. We have not power operated the unit so we don't know if this function.
Note the glow toward the bottom of the power tube in the image above. The copper pipe with the elbow on the top blows cooling air on the tube. The gray blower fan at the top of the image below is the source of the air that gets blown on the power tube.
The motor on the right of the image above is shown from a more oblique angle below. It drives a linear screw jack that opens and closes the chamber lid.
The image below shows the transformers in the base of the unit. It is a bit dusty in this section.
These images show the power line filter that failed (one leg was open). We cut this shop made component open to see what was inside. A replacement is available from the factory but not off the shelf. This is the line that supplies power to the THERMALL SCOPE.
