Wm ziegler floating tapping head tool holder 1.5" float
Here we have a very nice used Floating Tapping head.
This type of floating head helps to automatically align your tool to center if your spindle center is not perfectly aligned with the center of your hole to be machined. You can put many different types of tools in the holder depending on what adapters you have for taps, reamers, counterbores etc.
As near as I can tell this is not a tension compression holder unless it is stuck in the up position? But not likely.
This type does does not use collets, it just has a 1.5" hole in the end with a set screw.
The shank is also 1.5" diameter
