Expandable Rubber Applicators: This caster is designed for use in food service equiptment with legs made of hollow tubing. The stem of the caster is threaded with a plastic spacer, a round rubber applicator and a knurled nut at the top. The rubber applicator fits snugly up into the leg. When the fork of the caster is twisted by hand, it tightens the knurled nut on the other end, squeezing and thus causing the rubber applicator to expand against the inside of the tubing. This locks the caster in place inside the tubing. In order to purchase the right size, you will need to accurately measure the inside diameter (ID) of the leg or tubing into which the caster is to be installed.
