Agilent 54503A 500 mhz 4 ch oscilloscope no burn 10430A

This is a refurbished 54503A 500 MHz 4 channel digital Oscilloscope. It does NOT have burn-in on the Display. What you see in the pictures is what you get. It has passed all the self tests and is fully calibrated. I have replaced the NVSRAM chip (battery). All channels, ranges and 50 ohms are tested. It comes with a power cord, pouch and 10430A 500 MHz probe. Each picture shows a different main menu to demonstrate functionality... like pattern trigger.
The HP 54503A Digital Oscilloscope is a general purpose four channel random repetitive sampling scope with 500 MHz bandwidth. It has eight bit vertical resolution, and 20 MHz sample rate. The random sample interval is 50 nsec, but sample placement relative to the analog trigger on any acquisition is precise to within 40 psec. Therefore with repetitive signals and multiple acquisitions, a waveform with 40 psec resolution can be constructed. Very precise timing measurements are possible on repetitive signals. The channels have 1mV to 5V/div sensitivity in a 1-2-5 sequence. Inputs are 50 ohm or 1Meg. The time base provides sweep speed range of 200 psec to 5 S/div in 1-2-5 sequence. Dual time base windowing can be used to expand a displayed waveform for a detailed view.
Envelope mode produces two traces, min and max. This mode is useful for jitter measurements. Normal mode is useful for single shot captures (2-channel simultaneous sampling). Average mode allows removal of random noise and improves resolution to 10 bits. Variable or infinite persistence is useful for envelope measurements.
2. 16 automatic pulse paramter measurements
3. Easy waveform storage into memory. (1K Ch memory and pixel memory)
6. Hardcopy to external HP-IB printers Via HP-IB and internal firmware.
7. Capture events negative in time from the trigger event
8. Complex trigger (Edge, 4 Ch pattern, state, Delay or TV)
10. Manual or automatic cursors for measurements.
I was product support engineer on this product before I retired. Any 54503A I sell will be fully tested for all these possible failures. It will also be fully calibrated. I do not have an ISO traceable cal lab, but any unit I sell will pass calibration at an ISO lab. If you have problems, please contact me for fair resolution.
Repetitive mode In the repetitive mode the waveform is constructed by triggering and acquiring data on successive repeating events. If the particular signal of interest is repetitive like a system clock, then a very accurate waveform can be constructed from repeated acquisitions. Data is randomly captured into a circular buffer through an A/D converter. Then a fine interpolator is used to precisely (40 psec or better) measure the time between the last sample taken and the analog trigger event. Data can now be placed in a memory buffer precisely positioned in time. With successive acquisitions, the buffer is eventually filled. High bandwidth can be achieved with relatively slow less expensive A/D converters.
This is a 6 bit A/D converter. All the others are 8 bits.
Electronic condition Excellent
Cosmetic condition is very good. The CRT is clear and crisp with NO burn in. The chassis is in great shape.
