Ibc boardmaker pcb router milling machine
Here is an IBC Boardmaker Model Opto 1. This is a milling machine used to make circuit boards by routing our copper around traces and pads.
It comes with the manuals and software. The software is on 5 1/4" diskettes and looks like it was designed to run under DOS. Not the most modern
of operating systems. The interface is to the PC's parallel port, assuming you have a PC with one! Might work with a USB to parallel adapter but
I really don't know for sure. I did not try the software out but I did hook up the machine to an old PC and played with it using a program called KCAM.
This allowed me to move the X and Y motors. The spindle motor works also. I did not try and route anything as I don't have any routing or milling bits.
I did that about a year ago and it's been sitting in my lab ever since.
