3D systems thermojet 3D rapid protoype printer
This listing is for a 3D systems ThermoJet Printer. It uses a wax based printing material so this printer is great for manufacturing where you need to burnout a mold for casting, etc.
We purchased this printer with another one and we aren't sure how to troubleshoot it. We have the software and an extra printing platen to go with it as well as about $3,000 dollars in extra ThermoJet printing material, so this is a great deal for the right person.
We went through the warm-up and boot process and received a z axis calibration error. We can't seem to find the issue for this, and can't get much help from 3D systems. We aren't as familiar with this type of machine and in our opinion this machine would be best suited for someone with experience on the type of machine or someone with ThermoJet systems already who could use the parts or materials on already existing machines.
We had an offer to fix it for $500.00 from a local engineer, but we just want to pass it on to someone with a real use for it so we can put the money towards something more useful for our process.

The interesting feature in my opinion is the wax material as it's really good for metal casting positives and makes the mold making process extremely easy.
We can send specific info or photos on request. Machine is in good condition cosmetically and the internals look sound.
