The first 3 sections are fine, actual Rohn brand, up in the air for around 25 years.
6/4/10- I've been moving the tower around showing it to some people-hadn't seen this before-on the bottom of one
of the 3 "fine" sections -See 11th picture - there was some 'fill-in' welding done - it probably had a ding in 2 of the
legs. Wasn't bad enough to perform any splicing/coupling work on. Just wanted to add this information to keep you
The fourth section (see 4th pix) had a bend in the bottom, which were stiffened up with a piece of 3/4" ID galvanized
pipe, bolted and welded. Same on the top of the fifth section (5th pix). The original top of the 45G tower had been
bent up pretty well, and he was needing extra height, so he had a piece of 25G welded into it-this section is about
9' 6" high-so he could continue up. I wouldn't be afraid of any of this work, his tower was 140' high (see last pix),
and had a Antenna Specialists ASP-600 Lo band on the top, and an ASP-700 17' long UHF fiberglass antenna
on the side, along with a 7/8" Hardline and a 1/2" hardline running down.
I'll cut it off if this sells - and a none too attractive wall bracket. You can top it off with a 25G type rotor plate, or
