Speed, Precision, Versatility, Reliability. Topcon AP-L1A one man robotic total station puts it all in a package to deliver the highest productivity day after day, in all field conditions. Whether it be the tightest control survey, or high volume construction staking, with 3 second angular accuracy and its rugged design and IPX-4 Waterproof/Dustproof rating, the AP-L1A is suitable for use in the toughest environments. Just sight the prism, activate the unique Topcon "wide beam" tracking system and the instrument locks on and follows the reflector wherever it goes. The fast servomotors will track the prism at a speed of 10 degrees per second. When obstructions get in the way, the AP-L1A wide beam will quickly re-acquire the prism to allow virtually continuous work. Two wireless radio modems are used to communicate between the AP-L1A and remote data collector. The AP-L1A radio is incorporated on the side cover and the remote radio is conveniently attached onto the prism staff. This configuration provides optimal performance in data communications. Topcon AP-L1A configuration includes all necessary components to complete a one-man robotic surveying system. Long range radios, reliable data collector from the industry's leading manufacturer, and well thought out accessories form a surveying package that will increase your productivity while reducing labor costs. Topcon AP-L1A allows you measure in poor visibility and in total darkness, if necessary. The active search system is superior to the human eye and always finds the reflector. And you could do the job completely alone, if you had to. One person can process as many points in the same time as it takes two people measuring with a conventional total station. And because nobody is needed at the instrument, both you and your assistant can help with the work at the measuring point.
