We are Located in North Carolina
1. Check operation of all switches and check tube sockets, clean with Deoxit and tighten as required.
2. Check connection of tube socket shells to front panel chassis. Check proper grounding of front panel and correct where needed.
3. Check meter operation for sticking, zero set and full scale sensitivity. Adjust as required.
4. Check all electrolytic capacitors for ESR using an 88A Analyzer and report marginal and bad capacitors
5. Visual inspection of PCB and PCB components for defects, touch up cold solder joints and report bad components
6. Check all bulbs and fuses.
7. Check and adjust operation of short detection circuitry
9. Check all voltages and bridge resistors, make all service adjustments according to B&K standards (Shorts,Grid Emission, Signal Voltage, DC Bias, Bridge Balance), using a high accuracy Fluke meter. Check operation of self compensating signal voltage circuit, over a line voltage range of 105-125 VAC..
10. Check the unit with a variety of good and bad power and small tubes
11. Lightly clean case and front panel
12. Your unit will operate as accurately as it possibly can.
The calibration cost does not include the cost of any required parts replacement/labor or retentioning of tube socket pins (when possible) or replacing tube sockets. You will be notified if this is the case. There will be an additional charge if parts need to be replaced. Most times this is not required to get the unit to calibrate, if the unit is in working condition.
For an additonal charge of $115.00, we offer an upgrade package, that consists of replacing all Electrolytic capacitors with high grade, high temperature, low ESR units, installing a three wire line cord (If your unit already has a three wire line cord, we will deduct the charges for this), replacing selected resistors with closer tolerance higher wattage units and replacing all missing screws. We also install solid ground bus wiring as needed to ensure proper grounding of tube sockets to the front panel.
