Tape peel adhesion / slip / tensile tester (imass)
This listing is for a Instrumentators 3M90 Slip/Peel tester that is used to measure the adhesion of tapes and the slip resistance of films. The unit has the MB10 load cell which I tested for accuracy using hanging weights, per the calibration instructions in the manual. The A setting tested accuratly in ounces and the B setting checked accurately in grams. I also timed the sled speed and found that it was accurate as well. The only item I found was that it is missing the plastic switch on the main power which will need to be replaced, however the switch still operates.
As a note: I use the 3M90 for my lab as well and it has been a very reliable unit. Furthermore, Instrumentators still supports this unit and accessories and service can be purchased through them.
